We just got an email from one of the brave souls that came out to the fair this weekend:
My wife and I brought our daughter and her husband and children to the Turkey Fair the day before yesterday. Despite the rain, we much enjoyed ourselves and so, it appears, did the rest of the crowds along with us. Many thanks for all your work in organizing and staging such a successful community event.
Thanks so much!! We really appreciate it!
Hello again. Despite the lack of cooperation from a certain Mother Nature, the 2013 version of the Lyndhurst Turkey Fair seemed to be yet another rousing success!. The vendors were all in fine spirits and happy to see folks checking out their wares. We enjoyed that wonderful ride on the horse-drawn hay- wagon. What a treat! The writer’s corner was also a treat…(Hmm how did we miss this event in previous years?) There was such a variety of vendors, entertainers, delicious food venues and activities for young and not so young (me)!
Thanks to all the event organizers for such a great venture this year. If this was the first time in 10 of the 20 years that rain fell on the event, then I’m sure it’ll be great weather NEXT Year!
P.S., my wife missed out on a prize by ONE number this year, so next year I’m sure her number will be good! Looking forward to the 21st annual event, next Fall! A great job folks!
Thanks so much for your comment! Glad you enjoyed the day 🙂
